Camper Trailer Sites only 10kms from the Tourist Attractions of Sydney

There are quite a few camper trailer sites available at Lane Cove River Caravan Tourist Park. All of these sites are large and are primarily located in two grouped sections of the caravan park. Each site will easily fit the biggest camper trailer set up with usually room for your car beside you. But some of the set ups I have seen are the size of a small house so please mention how big your own set up is when you book. Large or normal will do. The sites are all grass with no concrete to get in the way of how you wish to orientate your camper trailer. One area for camper trailers is close to the playground and the other main area is at the other end of the park right on the edge of the Lane Cove National Park. All sites are close to amenities.

All camper trailer sites are powered

and have sullage and water. Television reception in most areas of the park is good but if you use a 'booster' you are advised to bypass it. Simply because the TV transmission towers are too close and distort the signal. If you wish an unpowered camper trailer site please ask for a large unpowered tent site. But still tell them it is a camper trailer and if it is a large set up.

There are excellent public transport facilities available close to the caravan park. From the office it's a 10 minute walk to North Ryde train station where trains regularly and frequently head to central Sydney across the Sydney Harbour Bridge (every 15 minutes usually). If you're in the Southern section of the caravan park the walk is even shorter as you can exit via a gate at the Southern end of the park. All guests are advised to use this exit to avoid walking on Plassey road. There is a very comprehensive guide to public transport and ticketing on the public transport page.

About camper trailers, campervans or campers.

Please remember: Generally in NSW people refer to campervans as vehicles you drive with your bed and so forth set up within the vehicle. If it's a 'camper' that you tow behind your car please refer to it as a camper trailer. There are different sites allocated for camper trailers, campervans and motorhomes so please specify your set up when you book.
